Hands of a Friend Foundation is ran entirely on donated funds with volunteer staffing. Our foundation is a non-profit, a 501(c)(3) and we do not accept any government and/or federal funding. The Executive Director or her designee is available seven days a week. We are a faith-based/non-denominational agency and do not accept any county, state or federal funding.
Our founder, Patti O'Berry started Hands of a Friend (Manos Amigas) Inc. in 2006 Seeing the need for nonprofit work with Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault victims in the southern Arizona area. Our organization provides safe housing and mentoring/advocacy, and referrals to those who need assistance. We've consistently grown since then, all thanks to the helping hands of this amazing community!
